Currently commanded by Sérgio Rosenthal, a lawyer with solid academic background and extensive professional experience, the law firm was established in 1966 by Milton Rosenthal, who holds a law degree from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (Faculdade de Direito do Largo de São Francisco) and is one of the most respected criminal lawyers of his generation.
As of the beginning of the 2000s, when government control and inspection instruments were enhanced, resulting in the initiation of police operations all over Brazil, Rosenthal Advogados Associados extended its activities to national and international practice.

Sérgio Rosenthal is a criminal lawyer with 30 years of professional experience. He holds a master’s degree in Criminal Law from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo), with specialization in Economic Criminal Law from the Law School of the University of Coimbra (Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra) and in Criminal Law from Escola Superior of the Prosecution Office (Ministério Público) of the State of São Paulo.
Mr. Rosenthal served as President of the Association of Lawyers of São Paulo (Associação dos Advogados de São Paulo – AASP) and of the Movement in Defense of the Practice of Law (Movimento de Defesa da Advocacia – MDA). He also served as Officer of the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences (Instituto Brasileiro de Ciências Criminais – IBCCrim).
He is a member of the Right to Counsel Protection Institute (Instituto de Defesa do Direito de Defesa – IDDD) and the Institute of Lawyers of São Paulo (Instituto dos Advogados de São Paulo – IASP).
